Emotion poster

This is the poster I made for the Emotion poster assignment! I think the endresult is pretty nice, but I definitely have some improvements. I love to hear what you think about it! Which emotion do you get from each picture (the upperleft double picture can be count as one) and where do you think improvement is needed?

Travel with the Time Machine

As I am still lying on the couch with a fever I won't post any photos of myself (although my pajamas has the cutest polkadots). I want to share with you this nice store in Amsterdam: Time Machine.

You can find here a lot beautiful vintage shoes! Boots, pumps, sneakers and more. You can also find here some jackets but I think the shoes are much better! They have shoes for woman and men.

Fit and buy

Unfortunatly, I got the flu. Which I really hate because not only I'm sitting at home with a huge headache, I also miss a lot at school today grmb...

These are some pictures I made last week. I'm not really fond of the store River Island but I saw some nice things there. Like a sweet blue, polkadot blouse and a floral dress. Even though, I didn't buy anything. I did find a nice shirt from American Apparel which I couldn't resist! The fabric feels great and it fits very nice. I love that brand!

Preppy fall look

It was a bit chilly today so I pulled my sweater out of the closet. I had my last feedback today for the emotion poster, wich I have to deliver tomorrow, and it was the first good feedback I got! I felt really good about it because I had a lot trouble the last week with my fascination. Well, more about that later, here is my outfit!

Busy week

The emotion poster have to be done by friday so I have quite a busy week since there is a lot to do (photograph actually). I had diner at my parents and my mom took a few photo's of my -not so special- outfit today. I love my vintage levi jeans, it is so comfi!

Vintage finds at the Noordermarkt

I went to the Noordermarkt (fleemarket in Amsterdam) on monday with one of my best friends. I found two nice, blue dresses! I also wanted to share with you the place you can eat the best apple pie of Amsterdam: Winkel 43.

I'll be on time now

I bought my agenda for next year today! I went to the American Bookstore at Spui (amazing bookstore, you should really take a look when you're in the neighbourhood, plus you get student discount) and bought a Moleskine Weekly Notebook. I think all Moleskine notebooks are the best. I have my sketchbook, which I take everywhere I go. I also bought one as a travel diary for summervacation.

Fashion fascination

I picked my fascination! So I don't really have a fascination for something, more a lot of interest. But I do have a huge love for ballet. I dance since I'm a little girl, first classical but now modern dance, so I thought I could do something with that. I ended up with ribbons, what became my 'fascination'.



We have to make an 'Emotion poster' of our fascination. So I search on the internet for some inspiration and made some testphoto's this morning. They told me at school that I had to let go of the sweet, romantic ballet world and look beyond it. It's kind of hard for me but I'll try. I hope they like my things tomorrow...

I like ruffles

Still have to figure out my fashion fascination... took a break to make some pictures of my outfit today. I don't wear this top a lot but I love the ruffles! It's the last day this week with good weather so I tought this would be a perfect day to pull this beauty out of my closet.

A simple day to school

I only had one class today, a lot more relaxing then last week! It was about a 'fashion fascination' we have to choose to work on for the next few weeks. I have to do a shoot this week where I dipict 5 emotions to my fascination... Have to figure out first what I am going to use for a fascination! Do you have any ideas?

This is what I wore today. I'm not really that enthusiastic about it though. I wore my Matthew Wiliamsson dress with a H&M trend skirt. I recieved my flats from new look! This is one of the two pair I ordered. I think they are pretty cute. This weekend I went out to look for a jacket, couldn't find it.. but I did bought this leather bag (in sale! yeay).

Nice print at H&M

I think this dress has a lovely print. I like the green and yellow combined. I think it looks very romantic and sweet. Didn't bought it anyway. After the vacation I have to watch my spendings really carefully!

Final picture

Today was the last day of Photoweek, the start of the minor (Visual Culture) I'm following. There was an exposition with all the end photo's we made. The pictures are at AMFI till next week. I think all the pictures are gorgeous! More pictures from the shoot and this week are coming up.

This is my picture! The theme for this shoot was 'anger'. She is mad because of something in the past. She wants to get over this anger and make peace with the past.

Today's look

That's not totally true. This is my outfit since 4 o'clock this afternoon. I received my Dahlia paysuit today! Ofcourse, I had to try it on immediately. I think it fits quite nice but I wouldn't mind a little more space at my bum haha.

I'm having an exhausting week. Studying at Amsterdam Fashion Institute is a lot more intensive than studying Interactive Media. I'm at school from 9 to 6 and in the evening I have a lot of homework. We had to do a photoshoot today (my first one!) and it was pretty hectic. We had to do it in the morning because we got our feedback in the afternoon (that also means no time for photoshop so the pictures had to be very nice!). Thanks a lot to my friend Linda who could come in such short notice. I think we made a nice shoot. It had to be innovative and my feedback was that I did it to literally. Have to learn a lot!
