It is almost 2010, time for new things to do, experience more, good intentions and go on. As you know, i am working on my new layout for a while now. It doesn't really went the way i wanted it to be but i'm quit satisfied now. So i'm starting my 'doing new things in the new year' a little early as i am switching this weekend to my new blog! This is in London, at Portobello Road where I bought some cute vintage dress in which i unfortunatly don't fit...

There will be a little webshop integrated in my new layout where you can shop my outfits! Stuff I haven't wore or don't wear anymore i will sell there. Also my friend Sophie will sell some stuff.

Well... sunday my boyfriend is going to help me with the technical stuff. I am so curious what you all will think about it!

I'm back from London! It is such an amazing city, i had a great time. We left thursday evening from Amsterdam to London Stansted and were there all weekend with the four of us. We did some shopping, sight seeing, drinking and having fun. Our plane back left yesterday evening. At least, that was the plan... because we missed it! There was so much traffic around London that we got stuck in the bus on our way to the airport. We had to sleep on the ground and had a flight back this morning. I couldn't sleep at all so i'm pretty tired. Here are some pictures of our nights.

Waiting for the train to come

Yesterday, it was the birthday of my boyfriends father and because there are no trains leaving late at night we decided to stay there. This morning we traveled back and my boyfriend was so nice to make some pictures of my outfit. I finally received my Modcloth package! I had to pay import taxes... a lot! That is such a shame because I love all clothes on Modcloth but I am a little bit scared it will happen again...

Anyway, I am very happy with my new dress and cardigan! The shoes didn't fit unfortunatly, so I am going to sell them. One button of the cardigan fall off so I can practice my sewing skills!

I have some other great news... I found a new room! I am going to live with a friend so that is going to be great! We met only a few months ago, we do the same minor, but I think it will work out just fine! So I am moving during the christmas holiday. I also want to get rid of a lot of clothes so I am propably integrating a webshop in my new layout! Really looking forward to it. In the end, I love to sell new clothes as well.

Floral fall

The cold has reached Amsterdam. There is only rain and wind here unfortunatly. My bike blew away yesterday and hit over by a car... My bike died but the good thing is that I am still alive! :-) Even though the weather doesn't engourage it, I love to wear my floral dress. I think it looks nice with my new vest.

Monday to friday

As I told you in the last post, I had a very exciting week! I wanted to tell you something about my experience this week.

From now on we start to work in crews, beginning with filmweek, in which we had to make a movie in one week so we can get familiar with all the aspects of filming. We all have another function in the crew. Eva is the creative producer, Anneke is the producer, Maurits is the director of photography, Sascha the art-director and I am the director.

On monday we started off to pitch two ideas for the short film. As I am the director, I wrote the scenario for the one we choose. On tuesday we had to make our decoupage. That means, we had to write down every shot of every scene. I did that with the director of photography. Wednesday was a day for the art-directors and producers. They had to make moodboards, arrange places and we needed two actors. We also went to the location where we would shoot the next day to take a look. Thursday was shooting day. We started at 08:30 a.m. and finished shooting at 05:00 p.m. We had to go to AMFI real quickly to capture the movie, what in the end took us 1,5 hour. We edit till 0:00 a.m. and started again today at 08:00 a.m. Today we watched all the movies. I think we all did an amazing job!

You can understand that I am quit tired right now! Here are some pictures of yesterday.

Someting nice

I am having the most exhausting week I experienced at AMFI. We are in the middle of filmweek, what means that we had to make a film in one week to get fimiliar with all the aspects of filming. We had to write a script, make a callsheet, arrange actors and locations, shoot, edit, promote and tomorrow, we are showing everyones work. I am so tired but also very exciting because it was such a learnful week and we had so much fun. I am now uploading the film at youtube but he is stuck at the moment so I will show you later!

I wanted to share with you this recipe. I love pasta. If I had to choose one meal I had to eat the rest of my life, it would be something with pasta! As I am a student, I don't really like to cook at my two-pits cooker and I like it to be quickly done. I red this one on Sandra's blog but as I don't speak sweedish and the google translator made a lot of weird sentences I changed it probably a little bit.

So what you need is: pasta, saugages, carrot, mushrooms, safron, sour cream and a onion.

Step 1: boil the pasta
Step 2: cut the mushrooms, saugages, carrot and onion in pieces.
Step 3: this depends if you bought safron powder or threads. If you bought threads, like I did, put a couple threads in a cup with a little bit warm water. Take a little spoon and push the threads ageains the glass. Put it away now.

Step 4: Fry the onion and the saugages at the same time. When the saugages are ready, put in the mushrooms and carrot.
Step 5: If you have one minute left, put the sour cream in.
Step 6: Strain off the water of the pasta and put the saus in the pan with the pasta. Now put the safron in with some peper and salt. Mix it.

And it is ready! Tastes delicious with some parmazane cheese.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I met with my best friends saturday. We cooked, talked, laughed and played Monopoly! I love playing old games. I am not a computer gamer and I can't handle a playstation but you can always wake me for an old fashion board game.

This wasn't my outfit yesterday, but I wore this today. I need someone to take some nice pictures of me! They are usually so much better than the self-timer pictures.

And I was so pleased to hear that the lovely Ann from La Petite Fille Avec La Vie A La Mode gave me a blogger award! Thank you so much!

It has been a while that I talked about my minor. So far so good, I passed my assesment! Next week is filmweek in wich we have to make a short movie. We work in teams of four and I'm in a team with Anneke (art director), Eva (creative producer) and Maurits (director of photography). My function is director but I guess all the positions kind of overlap each other as we make almost everything together. On monday, I have to pitch two synopsises of stories we want to film. Very exciting! I went to Anneke today to make the moodboards but they are not finished yet.

I also want to say that I am working on a new blog! Have to figure out how wordpress exactly works but I already like it so far! Keep you posted.

Who are you thankful for?

Yesterday, I ordered some lovely pieces on Modcloth.com. When you make an order for the first time, you'll be placed on the mailing list. So this morning I got an email about the Modcloth Thank-a-Thon blog contest for Thanksgiving! As I don't live in the USA or Canada, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving. But I think it is nice to think about everyhing and everyone your thankful for, so I thought, why not join the contest!

There are some special people in my life who I'm really thankful for:

My sister (not in the picture) mom and dad, they have been so supportive when I struggled with college and everything. I'm each year thankful for the fact that they are my parents and sister. Love you!

My gorgeous boyfriend, we made an amazing trip together this summer and he managed to be 24 hours a day with me for three weeks without going totally nuts. He is always there for me and want to help me with the crazy things I come up with.

My five best friends who I haven't see that much this year. We were all so busy, or we were traveling, doing internships in Africa etc. Besides that we always make up to that and meet whenever we have time.

I'm also thankful for my internship mentor (? stagebegeleider) Sanne, of who I don't have a picture right now. I did my internship this year at Shopgids.nl and I had a great time. I got a lot of responsibilities and learned a lot about working in such a huge company (sanoma publishers). Unfortunatly the recession also made his way into Sanoma and that probably means the end of Shopgids...

I am also thankful for the great opportunity to do my minor at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and the nice people I am in the class with. I'm learning so much and get a lot of input. When I struggled with my photographs, there was always someone who could give my feedback to move on.

The night

There are a little less updates these weeks.. I'm sorry for that but I have my assesment on tuesday and I still have to do so much! After tuesday more updates, I promise :-)

Last night I went to the museum night (museumn8) in Amsterdam. One night a year, mostly in november, all museums are open and there are special expositions, things to do, ecetera. You have to pay 17 euros and you are aloud to go everywere. So make sure your bike is OK and you put some warm clothes on because you are cycling all night through the city. I wanted to make some pictures but my compact cam did not always agree with me.

Me in the filmmuseum. They had an special museum night exhibition about the DDR. You could change in a Trabant and they made pictures of you. I didn't do that because the line was too long. Where I stand in the picture is their regular exposition, it is about John Cassavetes.

In the stadsarchief (city archives) was a flickr exposition. Selected persons from the pool Mokum/Amsterdam could show their work. There were also music bloggers who played music.

This is in Trouw, an old press building. It is now a club. There was an urban screen show from students who projected it against the building. Very nice done but it was outside and very cold! So we took a look inside but there wasn't that much going on. Although the building is very artistic and great to have a good party. If you are in Amsterdam you should definitly go here some day. The club is here temporarly.

I also went to Mediamatic, the Dutch Institute for Media art and Artis (the zoo)

I love to listen music when I am biking. And I bike a lot. Unfortunatly, in the winter that means cold, cold hands because my ipod does not react when you were gloves! I think the Dutch readers can relate to that. So you can imagine I was quit excited when I saw these Etre Touchy gloves! I think they are adorable. What do you think about them?

Hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was great: dancing, lying on the couch, eating, photographing, meeting with my friends! Now it's time for work again. I have to deliver my personal book on friday and I'm a little scared of that. I never made a book before so I don't really know how it works. I made my grid in indesign and i hope everything will go alright at the copyshop but you never know!

I'm at my parents house right now to do some last changes at my book and photographs, after that I'm going to the copyshop for a first impression. Tomorrow, I have time to get some last feedback from my teacher so I need something i can show her!

My parents are re-decorating the house so it's kind of a mess right now. My old room became some kind of library... Well not a very good place to make pictures right now but i did it anyway. This is what I'm wearing today. Received my -secondhand- topshop 'dress'. I can't wear it as a dress because it's way too short but i like it this way!

When I was at my parents place yesterday, I found these old photobooks. I love to look at old pictures of my parents, my sister and me. My dad was really into photography when he was younger so we have a lot of pictures. My feeling for fashion was somewhere far, far away as I only wore old clothes from my sister and a lot of pink. At our birthdays we always got to choose a new outfit and somehow I always managed to pick something pink.

I made a lot of pictures today but I'm not quit satisfied about them. Saturday my friend is coming over and we're having a little photoshoot. Hope i'll create something nice. Well, I wanted to make some colourfull pictures today and the first thing popped up in my head were cupcakes! So I baked a lot of cupcakes and started to decorate them, but that take too much time so I quit after a while.

Interrail 2009: Zagreb & Ljubljana

What a nice comments on my last post! I am really into the surrealism and I enjoy very much making these kind of pictures. So a lot of people asked how I did it... I will not tell you step by step, as a true magician never tell his secrets ;-) and it is just a lot of work! I can tell you that I made two photographes and mixed them together with PhotoShop.

So I thought, I post some more pictures of the interrail trip last summer. As the fall really begun in the Netherlands, I love looking at these pictures... and dreaming about next summer. I had my first driving lesson this morning so who knows, maybe a roadtrip? I hope so!

There were so many nons on the street!

After Lake Balaton we had the worst travel day. It took us forever to get to Zagreb, wich we did not calculate as the distance was not that far at all. Zagreb was nice, but I was not overwhelmed by it. It is very neat and sophisticated wich we did not expect. The hostel we stayed was awful, maybe that was also a reason we went soon to our next destination: Ljubljana!

Ljubljana was beautiful! I really enjoyed the calmness of the city. The beautiful flowers and the nice streets. We walked to the castle in the evening wich was so much fun. It was already very dark and we did not see anything. Unfortunatly, my boyfriend was really tired the first day so we stayed in the hostel half the first day.

My grandma turned eighty eight today so I went to visit here. Unfortunatly I had to work so I couldn't stay long. I promised some better pictures of my new dress so here they are! My sister was so kind to take these pictures of me.

It was also the last day that my newly wed aunt was in town. She and her husband (and his son) are flying back tomorrow morning. It was a fun week with all the Americans but it was also very exhausting. Our normal life starts tomorrow, vacation is over so back to business!

I had dinner with my best friends tonight and it was so much fun. We went for tapas in the nicest restaurant. If you are planning on going to Amsterdam and you like tapas, I would really recommend it. The tapas bar is called Stefanos and you'll find it here: Roelof Hartstraat 27. Not really in the centre, but also a very nice part of the city. The owner is actually a Greek so you will find a mix between Spanish and Greek food on the menu.

I thought my pictures were very clear but when I put them on my laptop, I got a nasty surprise. They aren't that sharp but you will get the idea! I also recieved my dress from Etsy! I am so happy about it, I really love it! Better pictures will come up soon.

Hmm tiramisu... my favourite desert!

Three of my best friends! We had a great evening. Unfortunatly one of my friends couldn't make it and the other one is currently in Ghana, Africa! She's doing an internship in a hospital over there, very exciting.

Today was my aunts wedding. She lives in New York but because my grandparents can't fly anymore they decided to marry in Holland. So I told you before we had a lot of americans over here! It was a pretty chaotic day but very nice. The sun was shining whole day long. It was very cold though and windy but we didn't care.

I couldn't find anything for the wedding so I wore something I already had. Well I guess thats for the best as my clothes doesn't fit anymore in my closet. I only found the cutest polkadot tights, but after one hour I already managed to got a ladder.

A true romance

A few posts ago I was talking about Etsy and that I had never buy anything there. I got very positive comments about Etsy so today, I bought my first item! A cute, striped dress with a (yes!) peter pan collar. I'm so excited, hope it will arrive soon!

First, I want to thank everyone for the sweet comments! As you see, I still haven't found a nice place to take pictures. As my boyfriend is doing his internship he can't take pictures anymore.. It is already dark when he comes home! Winter is on his way. For that occation I bought this beret. It looks a different colour but it's the same as my (also new) cardigan.

Since three weeks, my boyfriend is following a photography course once a week. He had to make a picture with artificial light. So he shut down all the lamps and the only thing he saw was me, sitting on bed with my laptop. Very geek, I know. Well, they liked it at his course and maybe it will get a spot at the wall of the University of Amsterdam!

Yesterday, I went to my boyfriends sister for dinner. She just got married and I didn't see their house yet. It is beautiful! Very modern but still warm. I haven't made any pictures so I can't show you.

Next saturday, my aunt is going to marry! Her fionce is from New York but their wedding is in Holland. A lot of people from the states are coming over so my parents have a lot of guests in their house. I've been so busy that I haven't buy my outfit yet. Some seriously shopping has to be done!

So here are some pictures of my outfit yesterday and in the train. It was raining a lot yesterday but we managed to stay dry.

Collars are the best

Lately, I have a thing for collars, especially Peter Pan collars with the little roundings. I love to have a white blouse with a cute collar! I haven't found something like that in the stores yet but if you browse Etsy you pass by the most gorgeous collars. I have never bought anything on Etsy but that might change soon!

Plastic Fantastic

Today I had to check my sequence and I could get a pass or a fail... and I passed! I was so happy about it! I didn't feel really confident about it. Although there isn't much time to relax because we have to start on our storybook and personal book, what we have to deliver in one month, I did relaxed this evening. Sat on the couch and watched CSI Miami. Enough of the talking, I will show you my pictures! They are a bit different than my other work, but it was a challenge to do something different.

This is the story: The main character is the woman. She feels really confident and sexy about herself. Outside beauty is everything to her. She wants to stay young forever. When people are looking at her, she thinks it is because they think she's gorgeous. In fact, they just think that there is something wrong with her and that she looks like a huge clown.

The picture of the little ponies is to give you the 'heh something's wrong here' feeling. Cute girls with bows in their hair don't play like this with little ponies, they should make braids or something like that.

The feets are even more of that feeling, even a little morbid. Which I think plastical churgery is. To let someone cut in you other then necessary, is for me not a good thing to do. I made this photograph with the little story: you have waited so long for your shoes to arrive and here they are! On the box is a note wich says that there is an extra gift attached. That's nice! What would it be... maybe... a pair of legs?

Winter Wishlist

I love fall. The yellow leaves falling on the ground. The beautiful pink sky. Ride my bike in the park. And you can wear your winter clothes again! Fashion wise, the winter is my favourite season. I love layering, scarfs, hats and tights. Unfortunatly, Dutch winters are often fulled with rain, wind and grey skies. When I was little, I loved to iceskate. The canals were frozen and everyone was having fun. Nowadays the canals are never frozen, natural ice is rarely and it barely snows. But I don't care. The winter is still my favourite fashion season! I wanted to share with you my favourite winter items.

London baby!

I bought a ticket to London! In December, i'm flying to England with three of my best friends. I'm so excited about it! Although it is still two months from now, i'm already saving money so i can shop till i drop! If you have any tips i would love to hear them! Also, we don't have a place to sleep yet so if you know a nice hostel/hotel/appartment that doesn't cost a lot, please let me know.

This is what i wore today. I like my high-waist jeans but i don't wear them a lot. They only costs nine euros! I also recieved my new jacket for fall yesterday.

Fall has begun

Unfortunately, the first fall-rain droped down today. I wanted to ignore that and put my short sleeve shirt on anyway. Hooray for layering. I went to school today but they weren't that enthusiastic about my work, what was a big bummer for me because I liked it.

Still have to figure out how to make nice pictures because it doesn't really work at my tiny room. I'm not that fond of the zipper-trend. I think it can do a bad thing for your look really easily. But I really like this zipped skirt from H&M, it is the colour and the fabric I like most about it.

Interrail 2009: Lake Balaton

It is a while ago that I wrote something about our trip this summer. I thought it is about time now I continue!

After Budapest, we went to lake Balaton to cool down. It was a nice lake, but too bad there were so many tourists! There were a lot of expensive snackbars and everything was made for the tourists. We stayed at a very nice hostel. They told us where to go and where we would find the nice places. We rented mountainbikes for one day wich was a lot of fun! Didn't make that many pictures because we layed at the 'beach' most of the time.

Had a private coaching lesson at school today because I missed a few lessons. It really helped me out! I also know that I have a looot to do this weekend! It is a busy weekend because I have to work saterday and sunday, and my dance classes also started. I have to get up early tomorrow!

Unfortunatly, I got the flu. Which I really hate because not only I'm sitting at home with a huge headache, I also miss a lot at school today grmb...

These are some pictures I made last week. I'm not really fond of the store River Island but I saw some nice things there. Like a sweet blue, polkadot blouse and a floral dress. Even though, I didn't buy anything. I did find a nice shirt from American Apparel which I couldn't resist! The fabric feels great and it fits very nice. I love that brand!

I bought my agenda for next year today! I went to the American Bookstore at Spui (amazing bookstore, you should really take a look when you're in the neighbourhood, plus you get student discount) and bought a Moleskine Weekly Notebook. I think all Moleskine notebooks are the best. I have my sketchbook, which I take everywhere I go. I also bought one as a travel diary for summervacation.

Fashion fascination

I picked my fascination! So I don't really have a fascination for something, more a lot of interest. But I do have a huge love for ballet. I dance since I'm a little girl, first classical but now modern dance, so I thought I could do something with that. I ended up with ribbons, what became my 'fascination'.

We have to make an 'Emotion poster' of our fascination. So I search on the internet for some inspiration and made some testphoto's this morning. They told me at school that I had to let go of the sweet, romantic ballet world and look beyond it. It's kind of hard for me but I'll try. I hope they like my things tomorrow...

I only had one class today, a lot more relaxing then last week! It was about a 'fashion fascination' we have to choose to work on for the next few weeks. I have to do a shoot this week where I dipict 5 emotions to my fascination... Have to figure out first what I am going to use for a fascination! Do you have any ideas?

This is what I wore today. I'm not really that enthusiastic about it though. I wore my Matthew Wiliamsson dress with a H&M trend skirt. I recieved my flats from new look! This is one of the two pair I ordered. I think they are pretty cute. This weekend I went out to look for a jacket, couldn't find it.. but I did bought this leather bag (in sale! yeay).

That's not totally true. This is my outfit since 4 o'clock this afternoon. I received my Dahlia paysuit today! Ofcourse, I had to try it on immediately. I think it fits quite nice but I wouldn't mind a little more space at my bum haha.

I'm having an exhausting week. Studying at Amsterdam Fashion Institute is a lot more intensive than studying Interactive Media. I'm at school from 9 to 6 and in the evening I have a lot of homework. We had to do a photoshoot today (my first one!) and it was pretty hectic. We had to do it in the morning because we got our feedback in the afternoon (that also means no time for photoshop so the pictures had to be very nice!). Thanks a lot to my friend Linda who could come in such short notice. I think we made a nice shoot. It had to be innovative and my feedback was that I did it to literally. Have to learn a lot!

Since her bohostyle, I think Sienna Miller is one of the best dressed people in Hollywood. I definitly like her style at the moment, expeccially her flower dresses. I also lóve her Chloe Boots. Interrail 2009: Budapest

After the rain in Prague we did wanted some sunshine, but not THAT much. It was approxiametly 40 degrees (celcius). The government was giving free water so we didn't totally dehydrate. At the moment there was a huge Formule 1 race around Budapest so there were a lot of people visiting the city. Beside all that, Budapest was great. It is an amazing city and has a lot of beautiful buildings. I really want to go back someday, but in the spring because in the summer it is wayy too hot!

Good intentions

Most people make their good intentions for the next year at new years, I make mine usually in the summervacation. Probably because I have a lot of free time to think about what I want to achieve next year! So here are my 10 good intentions for 2009/2010:

1. Graduate. This is my last year of college! When I'm done I can call myself "bachelor of communications and multimedia design", sounds pretty nice I think. I'm not sure what I want to do after graduation, maybe go to university.

2. Get more design skills. I wish I could make some nice designs with Illustrator and improve my drawing skills. I love to make nice things but at the moment, I don't like anything I make.

3. Keep this blog. Since I was thirteen I make websites (I know, I was a total geek) but I have seriously trouble to keep and update them. I always found ideas for another website so at a moment I had a thousand websites but there wasn't anything written in it!

4. Make a new portfolio. I had to make a portfolio website for my study but I didn't like it at all. So I'm thinking about another one for over a year now but I'm too lazy to do something about it! You can find my portfolio here: http://lisetvanderlaan.nl/ but there is nothing to see right now.

5. Improve my English. As English is not my first language (unfortunatly I'm stuck with an ugly dutch accent) I make a lot of mistakes, expecially writing. So please tell me when you see something because I love to speak and write English correctly!

6. Find a new place to live. I live at a containerhouse. A thousand containers are build into students houses and put all together. I have a thousand students as neighbours what sounds nice but in fact is horrible. There's always some party and you can hear everything your neighbours do. I want a normal place with normal walls and normal neighbours!

7. Some fashion intentions, buy less clothes! I have way too many pieces I only wore once and then put far, far away. I buy a lot of cheap clothes I don't really like that much. I want more quality and less quantity.

8. Learn how to sew. It happends very often that i have a piece in mind but I can't find it in the stores. So I buy something that look similair but I don't like it that much as I had in mind (see intention 7). If I can make it by myself I have something I really like and something really exclusive!

9. Go from blonde to brunette. That's not that hard to do, but I'm a real chicken if it comes to my hair. I don't like it because I have very thin hair but I'm still trying to find the right cut for me!

10. Travel a lot! After the trip through Central Europe, I want to see so much more! Some places on my list are: Stockholm, Göteborg, Kopenhagen, Rome, Sarajevo, Mostar and Athens. My boyfriend and I are probably going to Stockholm this fall, really looking forward to it!

Prague is definitely one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen. Every building looks like a piece of art. We stayed four days in Prague because some friends were also staying in the city. Also a plus in Prague: it's very cheap!

Interrail 2009: Berlin

It was a hard selection but I managed to choose 600 photo's out of the 2609 photo's we made. Still way too much to show on this blog so I picked a few. Hope you like them!

Our first stop was Berlin! After seven hours in the train we were finally at the station. We couldn't find the subway and became a bit moody because we were walking around for almost 45 minutes with our backpacks on. But we found it! The hostel was a 20 minute ride with the S-bahn but beside that, a nice (and cheap! the cheapest we had in our vacaton) place to stay.

I'm back from my trip through Europe! It was amazing, we've seen so much! My boyfriend brought his new camera and made +/- 2500 pictures! Haven't had the time to make a selection so pictures will come later.

Hi there, I'm back!

Had an awesome time in Lisbon but had to go back (unfortunately) so yesterday me and my friend went to the airport and flew back to Amsterdam. Met some great people, made some new friends and bought a lot of stuff! There was a huge sale at H&M so bought a lot over there... too bad we haven't found some vintage stores.

Lisbon is a great city but there are so many stairs and hills! It is impossible to wear high heels because the sidewalk is full of little rocks.

Last weekend I went with my parants, sister, her boyfriend and my boyfriend to Zeeland & Belgium. The weather was -unexpected so I didn't took along my new summerdresses- great! Away from all the stress in Amsterdam I had a relaxing weekend. By the way, Brugge is a very nice city to stop by. Not the-place-to-be for your new wardrope but the city is beautiful!

Yesterday it was Queensday! It didn't really went like it should because there was an attack at our Queen while she was in Apeldoorn. Five people died... That's really terrible and I don't understand why someone does that.

In some cities all activities were cancelled but not Amsterdam. Most of the people didn't know what happened, just like me. I got the news yesterday evening.

Despites everything I had a great Queensday with my friends. We went to the fleemarket and I bought some awesome chairs! Don't know yet what to do with them but what the heck... We also went to a great party in a garage.

I love tea! Now I found my favourite tea-store in Amsterdam (besides the tea-bar ofcourse): Kaldi! Well extually I went to the Kaldi in Haarlem but I definitely should check the store in Amsterdam out.

The owner of the store was very nice, he told us so much about coffee and tea (did you know there is only one tea plant? All the flavours are add later). I got the Earl Grey Tea and the Jasmin Garden Green Tea. Also some little cakes, chocolates (not in the picture... wonder where they go) and a caramel sirop to put in your coffee (also not in the picture, it's at my boyfriends place)
